National Service Enlistment!

arrgghh....i'm gonna left with less than 12 hours before my enlistment at 1400 hours.... have to get to Pasir Ris Bus Interchange between 1300 h to 1330 h... time passes so fast.... 1 moment i was reminiscing myself having a good time and busy choosing Polytechnic courses after finishing my 'O' levels, the other moment i have already graduated from Polytechnic and ready to get drafted into the ARMY... should i be sad? cos i'm gonna be on my own for 3 weeks for the FIRST TIME in my life... the record was 1 week... anyway all guys has to go through this, so i am NO EXCEPTION! was abit worried for my folks, especially my granny and my grandpa(he has mild senile dementia) but after spending some quality time with them today, i am assured they'll be fine! i've even assured them i'll visit them as soon as i am booked out of the camp!

As for my friends, many of em' knows about it, i duno if 'she' knows about it, but anyway, a mutual friend might mention it to her someday... Many people has regrets in their lives...i think one of my regrets would be not able to tell 'her' my feelings about her before my enlistment, i had been struggling inside me all this while after my last exams, simply because i think she's a really nice girl...too good for me perhaps...but i canot stop thinking about her...

anyway now that i've missed the boat, so i'll just let things work naturally...hopefully, like what the movies and romance novels always said," The fated ones will meet again... no matter how different and far apart are their paths, it will intersect each other someday!"

Well...this is it!! i know i've been lagging behind on blogging, hadn't continued Day 3 of my Thailand trip yet....but i will be back to finish it!!

if you're looking at this, yanne,
I want you to take very good care of yourself!! in case it'll be a long time before we're gonna contact each other again...

alright then...i think i better go get some sleep for the big event later!
so i'll be back home on the 11th Sept(if there're no disruptions)

Pulau Tekong! HERE I COME...............!!

continue from Day 2: We woke up early to have our complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant, then proceeded to join a half-day city tour... it was very fun becos we got to know interesting cultures of the country...eg, a colour is given on each day of the week becos they believe that 1 particular colour gives them good luck for the day....like Monday's lucky colour is Yellow and so on which i canot remember...haha!
We went to several places like the gem and leather factories and also the well-known floating market! unfortunately, the floating market has died down alot becos of improving economy and more supermarkets has been opened to cater to the public...
when the tour was over, we were back in business....SHOPPING!! only this time, we're shopping for mobile phone accessories because they are so much cheaper than the suppliers in Singapore..( yes! we're in the telecommunication business!)

Then..later in the night, we went to a restaurant in Chinatown and we had our MOST sumptuous meal in our entire 4 days trip...a meal that would have cost S$200 or more in Singapore but it only costs us S$ 70!! wonder what we ate? well u just need to imagine a meal that includes a big bowl of shark's fin and a large live(not frozen) pomfret and you'll understand why it costs so much!

After dinner, we headed to the hotel by cab...however we met another cab driver that doesn't know how to go to our hotel, plus we met into a traffic jam, in the end the trip took us almost 2 hours.... fortunately for the large currency difference and that the meter goes by the distance covered, so the cab fare wasn't expensive.... costs us only around S$ 7, which is about 180 baht...

after a tiring day of walking, i decided to make use of the hotel's bathtub and have short bubblebath!! it was a chance which i never get to have in singapore becos the HDB flats we live in has toilets which are too small to fit a bathtub... plus the water bill is soo expensive, so i only could have a bubblebath when i am in overseas trips!!

Phew! end of DAY 2!!

Thailand Trip!

i am BACK from my wonderful trip to Thailand... i was back on the 12th but had to unpack my stuffs, therefore only now then i can start blogging and i shall describe it IN DETAIL!!

Day 1 : flight reached Bangkok at 10.30am(sing time) and our lady tour guide brought us to check in the Bangkok City Inn hotel... it is a 3-star hotel but i think it is underrated, cos their service is good! After we lay down our big bags, OUT WE GO to explore the big city!! As we walked towards the World Trade Center/Central World Plaza(opposite our hotel), we saw the statue of the elephant god, thus decide to pay some respects... a guy who claims himself as management of the statue soon approached us and recommend that we should visit several places to pay respects to the Great Buddha, Four-Faced buddha and so on.... and so, we went by taking a tu-tuk!!(sheltered motorbike that can transport max 4 pple at the back)...
on our last stop, we were conned by a lady who sells praying stuffs like incense, candles and flowers...we had to pay standard 600 baht(S$24) for each set of praying stuffs(fortunately only my dad bought it) when it is much more cheaper inside the temple as it has a wide price range... from 20 baht, 40 baht, 60 baht till 400 baht...
After all the prayings, we made our way to the "pasar malam" nearby.. they sell all sorts of stuffs except pirated cds or vcds... there are many things like imitation Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts, Gucci wallets, Adidas caps, Diesel pants, Nike sunglasses, etc.. and you MUST bargain with them or you'll be like a goldmine to them! haha... like the travel brochure stated, BARGAINING IS THEIR CULTURE, ENJOY IT!! lol.... anyway, while we were busy browsing around, the weather began to turn bad and soon it started raining.. after we had enough and wanted to go back to the hotel, we noticed that the rain hasn't stopped and it was soo heavy that the sides of the road had flooded into the pavement! Fortunately we managed to hail a cab back to the hotel but driver didn't wanna turn on his meter, instead charge us 200 baht straight... we had no choice but to pay him cos the rain is heavy, and there's flood everywhere... luckily God was on our side, the driver made an illegal U-turn and he had to bribe the officer with 200 baht we paid him! LOL .. anyway when i got back to the hotel room, i was wet and tired and i crashed straight into 1 of the 2 beds even before my sis could choose which bed she wants...
By the time i woke up, it is nightime around 8pm(sing time). It was actually my parent's knockings on the door that woke me and my sis up... they said they had found a very nice place for dinner, and with our growling stomach, we quickly wash up and sped down the nearby World Trade Center/Central World Plaza for Steamboat! we ordered 1 big plate of meat+fishcake and 1 big plate of vegetables and 1 plate of duck... in the end it was still TOO MUCH for the 4 of us and i was really feeling abit bad for leaving so much food behind... then, we head back to the hotel but on the way, i picked up some chocolate and snacks from 7-11 so that i'll have something to munch on in the room while watching HBO's blockbuster movies... this is END of day 1.....

i shall continue on Day 2 another time cos i'm really sleepy now....orh.....

Weeee!! SAWADEEKAP!!!

yeah man! i'll be leaving for the airport in another.....3 more hrs!! i'll be away to Thailand for 4 days...till 12th... i reckon it'll be a FUN trip cos i'll be going with my family of 4.... we hadn't go abroad together for quite a very very long time cos my parents are ALWAYS busy.... the last few overseas holiday are only me, my mum and my sis...but this time, my dad will tag along! well i guess another reason is that i'll be enlisting for NS soon and they thought we should make 1 final overseas holiday before that...

anyway i'll not be blogging until after thursday cos that's the day i'll be back from Thailand....

i had SOOO much fun in the gathering with my friends yesterday... 13 of us gathered(met up with jonathan and tangkeat later at Marina Square) and we bowled at SUPERBOWL, played pool at POOL FACTOR, had steamboat/teppanyaki at ZHENG FA HUO HAI XIAN, watched the National Day fireworks concert and hang around at suntec city.... the day was really short cos we all had fun and happy times seem to pass by real quickly...

we actually planned to go to yaozheng's place to play mahjong/ps2 until morning but i pulled out when i learnt that my flight was in the early morning cos i have not packed my stuffs yet!! and as i'm blogging now, i am STILL PACKING!! haha... i believe this trip will make me real broke cos i will raid the "pasar malam" for those cheap things and i dun care even if they are imitations... i am also dying to try their famous TOM YUM soup cos junqiang told me that those tom yum we had in Singapore are not as SHIOK as those in Thailand!!

hm...speaking of food, i'm feeling abit hungry right now, gonna go heat up the leftover fried rice!! Be Right Back!!

BACK!! phew...i'm real full now... i know it's inappropriate to eat at this time, but nothing can stand in the way of my stomach!! haha.... that's why i always make sure i fulfil my stomach first before doing anything!
I'm SOO HAPPY!! i just downloaded Jay's latest album from Ray.... i've been waiting very long for this album....his songs still sounds weird, and i currently only like several of his songs, but i think i'll get used to the rest later on.... i am now transferring some of the mp3s in my collection into the mp3 player which i have borrowed from my cousins to Thailand... i had to listen to some music no matter where i go! that's probably because my parents gave me the name Song! haha....

**YawnzZ**... feeling so sleepy now... but i still haven't finish packing!! arrgghh....hope i dun have to rush my way to the airport! haha...

alrightey!! i have finished transferring the songs...and i think i REALLY gotta concentrate on packing my stuffs now... so i'll just stop here FOR NOW!

I'll Be BACK! haha... SAWATDI !! (goodbye in THAI)

*YAWNzzz*

**YaWnz** ..... damn..it's the 20th time already....i know i should get some sleep now but i decided that i should do abit of blogging first before i get myself tucked in....

i've been sleeping late for these past 2 days... duno what the heck is wrong with me... think i'm getting over enthusiastic with the new dvd player my dad has just got for the family(real reason is probably because he wants to watch his BeeGees dvd collection). Anyway, i'm feeling kind of tired.. definitely not because of the late night sleep.... i just dun have that kind of working mood anymore ever since my working place suffered a break-in and lost $3000+.... i feel as though the hard work my cousin and i has put in(apparently most of the hard work were from him), has been robbed.... he may sound like, " oh! nvm, let's just start working harder again!!" but then, i know that he must be dying to tear those burglars apart for robbing those hard work he put in... Fortunately the business starts to pick up now and we've even managed to break several records along the way....

tml is going to be a good day although i know my mum was pissed off when she heard that i won't be reporting for work tml!! cos i'll be spending the morning and afternoon at yaozheng's place together with renjie and ks and then in the evening, we're going to catch a S-League soccer match. Speaking of these few friends of mine which i've made at poly yr 2, each of them seem to fill only 1 part of my life... renjie is a buddy whom i feel i can really relate most of my troubles to... yaozheng is like a very good friend whom can really accompany me in all sorts of entertainments, from sports to ktv, haha... Davin is the dude whom i looks upon to for advices bcos he's seen the world more than i do... ks will be the guy whom i can hang out with or go for any concerts... weiping will be the one when we chat about girls and those wooing tactics...haha! as for the others, i still haven't really figure out what roles do they have in my life, but i believe that i'll find the answer as i move along the journey of life.

as usual, i slept late tonight.... one thing that my parents can never understand is that why i like to sleep late, i only told them that i wanted to watch tv, dvd and playing computer games, the fact is that, many times i wanted to be left alone so that i can spend some quality time with myself, daydreaming, pondering about many things, sometimes even speaking to myself! haha... i know i sound like a NUTCASE...( this is the reason why i dun wanna tell my parents this!)
i'm not saying that i'm a loner.... in fact, i can fit into any situations, be it a bunch of friends gathering for an outing, or myself going to the movies with a large Ice lemon Tea....
anyway, most of the time when i'm not with anyone else, i'll be daydreaming.. sometimes i wonder if this is because i dun have a companion whom i can talk to ever since my sis went abroad to study almost 7 yrs ago... although she is back now in Singapore, i still dun seem to have this feeling that i have someone whom i can pour ALL my troubles to.... not to mention that she'll be leaving for Australia soon( to fulfil her "at least 2 & half yrs stay in Aust" agreement to extend her PR)..
Hm... lucky for me i still have my bunch of buddies now.... until they get themselves attached, i will still have company for whatever i do!!

**YaWnzz** ... alright, i think i gonna crash now.... byee!

Er hem... Finally!!

Phew! finally i've decided to start blogging.....several months after seeing my friend blogging for the FIRST TIME! at first i found it weird...but then, now it just gives me a feeling that i'm writing a diary...only that i am being ENVIRONMENTAL-FRIENDLY!! haha....

anyway..just to start off....

Woke up at 3pm today cos i only went to bed at 6pm this morning!! that's because last night, i caught the King Arthur( for the second time) midnight show with my buddies till 2am at Century Square and since there were no more bus service and i dun have any spare $$, i decided to walk home, which took me 30mins. When i got home, i had a bath and decided that since it's my off day on sunday, i can afford to watch the Lord Of The Rings pirated dvd which i borrowed from my elder cousin... after i woke up, i had a short tuition session with one of my younger cousins and i soon find myself at Jalan Besar Stadium catching the LIVE match between the S-league ALL-STAR East Team vs West Team with Ks, Pingzai and Renjie. The match ended in a disappointing 5-2 defeat to the West Team( i support one of the teams in the West although i live in the East) and with my morales down, i got pissed by those aunties' pushing when the train door opens! it's not like that was the only train left, yet those aunties tries to squeeze themselves in....eventually the train driver had to announce on the PA that they wait for the next train to force them out....i called my parents and after learning that they were in bedok interchange, i decided to leave that suffocating train and drive the 3 of us home... so i guess this ends today day...

Phew! my school days are TEMPORARY over! i'll be offering my service to the Army soon... hope i'll be able to culivate myself when i'm in there! As many parents has told me, the army is the BEST place to determine whether a guy has what it takes to be a man. It is a place whereby you undergo harsh training and independent lifestyle to transform boys, into MEN. If you follow the rules, you'll succeed in the transformation, but if you take shortcuts along the way, nothing will be changed... I TOTALLY agree with this explanation, simply because i have alot of examples in my BIG family...

alright! i guess this is all i should write for today! i should sleep now!
