A different kind of Christmas!
Merry Christmas! only that..... this christmas wasn't that merry for me afterall....only managed to get together with weiping,renjie, tianlin and many more for 1 night, and had to book in to camp on Christmas night so as to attend my unit's LIVE FIRING on the next day....but IN THE END? i remained behind because i couldn't wear uniform...so sad that i didn't get to see the explosions... anyway we're given 1 day off as compensation, but the damage has been done.....the Christmas night proved to be much more valuable than 1 day off.....
1 day wasted + bookout seriously delayed.... how worst can it be>? confinement? was told by a sergeant that the guy who went AWOL(Absence Without Official Leave) in my platoon was caught and gonna be sent back on this coming friday....i think now i can see the reason for him to do that...if i were him months ago, i would have done the same...fortunately i was in tekong back then and was given better treatment....
currently still anxiously waiting for my posting to come...hope i can get posted to somewhere nearer to my place.... had a very terrible headache after doing nothing for whole day, gotta slip some pills and go to sleep now!

Depressed...
sigh.... i'm depressed....out of course and out of mood... a combat fit soldier suffering from fractured toe and doing admin work in the office is some kind of a insult to me.... i admit that i've been wishing this when i was training in Tekong.... but now that i've gone thru 3 days of admin work, i am BORED.... i need to go out there and do some training... becos i can feel my muscles and knees becoming rusty day by day....
i've was posted to 30th SCE (Singapore Combat Engineers) as a Plant Operator... it's a vocation no one will know what it is about until u enlist.... true enough, i only understand after my superiors explained...Plant Operators operate machineries which dig soil.... should be the slackiest among the combat engineers...but now that i'm out of course, i'll probably be posted to somewhere.... and i'm still waiting for my posting to arrive...
The 1st week in 30th SCE is kind of a culture shock to me and those privates who've done their BMT(Basic Military Training) in Tekong.... cos the facilities and training system is completely different from Tekong and the training instructors are more harsh towards trainees during training hours....
i've met many different kind of pple in my unit, naggy ones, reserved ones, playful ones, responsible ones, civilized ones, uncivilized ones, complaining ones.... it's a library of different type of characters in there...fortunately for me, my new buddy is one of the civilized ones and likes to read books before going to bed... i'm just hoping that i'll get to meet people like my new buddy when i get posted to other units....
Saving Private Pang!
yeah BABY! i'm no more a RECRUIT!! after 4 months of gruelling Basic Military Training(BMT), i'm now officially a PRIVATE! yeah.... no more botak hairstyles for me.... well i've been waiting for this day ever since i started my 1st day in BMT! man! it was such a long wait... but i kinda missed my comrades whom i've spent time with during the BMT....
i've just found out about my posting, many of my army friends will be going to SISPEC, while i will be posted to Jurong Camp as a Plant Operator... i duno what the heck is that but it kinda sounds like a technician...hope that vocation suits me!
This week is a terrible week for me....particularly because i've dislocated my finger and fractured my toe!! and i must really look like a freak when i go for Jolin's concert tonight....
arggh.. the pain is killing me!! gotta take some painkillers and take a short nap...
