met my fren willie today.. went to his workplace to take a look at what he's doing together with his good fren bryan, also studied in the same course as us... must say i am really surprised to see another fren of mine, richard there too..
the place he's working in is pretty "nice" actually... the air smells great(cos he's into aroma-medical) and the pple there are friendly and highly enthusiastic to make any newcomers comfortable... i had been told from my fellow frenz that he's into network marketting which actually annoys them, causing them to "disown" him, but after what i've seen today, i can understand the reason behind that and i hope my other frenz are able to understand one simple thing...

What actually defines network marketting? is it just plain getting pple to join the "club" as members or to buy products from them and try to sell it off to other pple while using them at the same time? I am not one who is knowledgable enough to define whether the business that willie is involved in, is network marketting or not, but, seriously to me, does it matter? I can understand that my other frenz got annoyed by these network marketeers becos of their enthusiasm and unwilling to give up on those pple who decline to join them. But then again, it's just another type of business which is legal to operate in singapore. Since it is legal, why boycott the staff?
the thing i wish for my frenz to understand is that, as much as any of u do not like the way network marketting works, it is just another form of business opportunity. There is no right or wrong in the world of business, though some may question the business ethnics but that's beside the point. The point is that, if pple think that if they have a fren in this business, they should stay away from him/her lest they start "psycho-ing" them to join them, then to me, they are in the wrong.
To me, i do not really care what business my frenz are involved in.. as long as they are legal and that they're exchanging hard work for $$... i do not judge my frenz based on their jobs, but rather on their personality and character through long periods of time.. Willie MAY have been involved in a business which i might not agree on, but i still treat him the same way i used to treat him when we were in poly, and he totally understands how i feel towards his job and himself, that i treat him and his job as 2 DIFFERENT issues... i may not like his job but i do like him as a friend i knew since poly yr 2... i can't say that we've been thru tough times together(which we didn't) but i can say that he's someone i can TRUST.
therefore, i really hope those frenz who treated him differently, can open up your hearts once again and welcome him back as our fren, becos i'm really saddened by the way things has turned out for us...

YEAH! it's finally OCTOBER... and i have just 17 days left in the army... can't wait to leave the full-time green uniform and being a student again!! but then...i do miss the army life too cos i must say during these 2 yrs and 2 months, i never had any other worries other than doing my job well in the army...now that i'm gonna leave this army life, i must learn to get back on my feet again and start planning for my daily activities... becos there ain't anymore First Parades/Roll-call/Last Parade and Routine Orders.... so..it's back to being on my own now just like before i enlisted...(that's why i always say signing on is dull becos their future are all planned for them... nothing much for them to think about other than doing their job well)

went bowling with chris/vincent/clement/benny and other fellow DCP students at our used-to-be favourite haunt, SPGG(Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild) last wk and we had a really fun time together exploring this place again...found some changes but we're still able to reminisce the old times...it's almost 2 and a half yrs since we've graduated...really miss the poly times...

anyway, i turn out to be the Individual Champion(among this small grp of us) and my grp is the Group Champion!!!(thx to benny too for his wonderful stats) haha... however, all the prizes are just chocolates and i got a personal Ferrero Rocher all by myself!! yeah~

had a really fun time with them.... wonder if they'll organise such similar competition again~hee!
